Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer to join the RTX Collins Aerospace engineering team working onsite in multiple US locations. You will develop, integrate, test, and deploy software across mission-critical domains (secure communications, embedded systems, cybersecurity, DevSecOps) while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities

•Develop, implement, and support software solutions across multiple mission areas and products.
•Execute software engineering activities through the full software lifecycle: requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, modernization, sustainment.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver mission-critical capabilities.
•Develop scalable, secure, reusable software that meets program and customer requirements; ensure high quality performance and reliability.
•Contribute to system integration, verification, validation, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment; provide mentorship to less-experienced engineers.

Salary: USD 86,800 - 165,200 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience with C/C++, Java (or similar languages) for software applications and systems.
•Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
•Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years experience.
•Experience with Linux, embedded software, real-time OS, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methods, automated testing is a plus.
•Experience supporting mission systems, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, software modernization, or related aerospace/defense domains (preferred).
