•Design, dimension, and evaluate electro-hydraulic control systems for ship loading arms, and improve the control solutions.
•Derive requirements from customer specifications and implement within budget and time constraints.
•Independently execute customer projects, including creating drawings, bills of materials, and descriptions; handle technical clarifications with customers.
•Prepare and implement make-or-buy decisions to enable (partial) insourcing of electro-hydraulic control systems.
•Support sales in developing targeted proposals; after onboarding, lead the control department (4 employees).

Key Requirements

•Completed degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent training.
•Relevant experience with electro-hydraulic control systems.
•Experience designing and analyzing control systems with functional safety (SIL; IEC 61508 / IEC 61511).
•Knowledge and experience in PLC (SPS) programming.
•Familiarity with ATEX, low-voltage, and explosion protection guidelines; safe use of MS Office and CAD systems.
