Build and maintain Linux kernel components used in Arista EOS, integrating upstream Linux changes into the EOS kernel and contributing features back to mainline. •Develop and maintain EOS kernel features and tests using C, C++, and Python, including automated test and test infrastructure.
•Work with hardware engineers and vendors to qualify kernel-dependent CPUs and NICs for integration into Arista products.
•Contribute features back to the mainline Linux kernel through the kernel community.
•Work with Customer Support and System Test engineers to analyze issues, mitigate root causes, and fix problems; mentor junior engineers.

•Familiarity with Linux kernel architecture, design, and implementation.
•Familiarity with the upstream Linux community’s patching process and procedures.
