Job Summary

Supervise on-site Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) operations, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control. Serve as lead engineer on most jobs, ensuring customer data is accurate and timely while identifying and resolving operational issues. Provide technical consultation on mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, and drilling tendencies, complete required field documentation, and deliver daily LWD reports and geosteering/data-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide on-site supervision of the LWD process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control.
•Serve as lead engineer on most jobs and ensure customer-presented data is accurate, timely, and meets service quality standards.
•Provide technical consultation covering mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud systems, and BHA dynamics.
•Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
•Complete required forms, databases, and reports and ensure a daily LWD report is delivered to client onsite/offsite teams and the MWD coordinator.

Key Requirements

•Minimum two years of field experience in LWD and completion of a basic M/LWD training program.
•Proficiency using LWD software, including providing advice and analysis to the client representative at the well site.
•Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
•Good communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
•Relevant onshore and offshore safety certificates (as required by the role).
