Job Summary

Support accurate, well-controlled reinsurance accounting and reporting under IFRS 17 and Solvency II, connecting commercial reinsurance transactions to accounting, tax, and reporting requirements. Analyse reinsurance structures, data flows, and operational processes to ensure economic substance is reflected, challenge weak processes, and drive scalable improvements. Contribute to finance transformation through documentation, data analytics, automation, and responsible AI/digital tooling while collaborating with global internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver accurate, well-controlled accounting and reporting outputs for reinsurance under different accounting and regulatory regimes, including IFRS 17 and Solvency II.
•Understand how commercial and technical characteristics of reinsurance transactions translate into accounting, tax, regulatory, and reporting treatments across regimes.
•Analyse reinsurance structures, data flows, and operational processes to ensure accounting and reporting reflect the economic substance of the underlying business.
•Challenge existing processes, identify weaknesses or inefficiencies, and drive practical improvements to increase quality, transparency, control, and scalability.
•Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including process documentation, data analytics, automation, and sensible use of AI or digital tools, while supporting global stakeholder management and board/committee reporting.

Key Requirements

•Relevant experience in reinsurance/insurance finance, preferably in accounting (actuarial, controlling, or financial reporting backgrounds also considered).
•Experience with IFRS 17 and Solvency II and strong reinsurance accounting knowledge.
•Strong technical and quantitative ability to understand complex reinsurance structures, data flows, and financial impacts.
•Strong analytical mindset to question processes, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
•Comfortable working with data and tools (including AI) such as Excel; Power BI and automation/workflow tools are advantageous.
