Job Summary

Bridge between a customer’s multi-million-dollar problem and Databricks’ technical solution by acting as field-focused product owner. Partner with Account Executives to map political/technical landscapes, scope value, define MVP pilots, write PRDs, and manage end-to-end delivery from pilot to adoption. Requires executive presence, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution with travel up to 50%.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Sales to perform deep discovery, map the customer’s organization, quantify business value, and define the pilot (MVP, success criteria, timeline).
•Author PRD, prioritize engineering backlog, manage scope, and act as primary hands-on QA tester.
•Drive the FDE build team via an agile process, manage stakeholder communications from C-suite to engineers, and unblock issues as escalation manager.
•Own Day 0 launch, manage the war room, and drive adoption by capturing feedback and iterating to prove business value.
•Scope ongoing maintenance, create customer documentation/training, and identify next high-value FDE engagements.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•2+ years as a Deployment Strategist OR 2+ years at a high-growth startup in a builder or founder capacity; alternatively 5+ years in a senior, client-facing product or delivery role at a top-tier tech company or consultancy.
