Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and operate optical processing equipment while handling delicate optical components and flagging abnormalities.
  • •Produce high precision optics by machining, grinding/polishing, coating, aligning/assembling, and following production schedules.
  • •Maintain area/tooling/equipment to 5S standards, identify and escalate unsafe conditions, and address quality concerns.
  • •Inspect and document glass surface defects, clean optical surfaces, and accurately record time and attendance.
  • •Collaborate with Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management on continuous improvement and assist with training employees.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
  • •Prior experience in a manufacturing facility or completion of a vocational certification is preferable.
  • •Ability to read and understand gages and measuring devices.
  • •Comfort working with optical components and interpreting mathematical/geometrical data.
