Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services across the full project life-cycle.
  • •Manage multi-disciplinary project coordination and ensure compatibility across projects of varying scale, complexity, and value.
  • •Serve in project technical lead and reviewer roles, supporting design delivery of drawings, standard details, specifications, and bill of quantities.
  • •Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets, including the development and delivery of project solutions.
  • •Lead and manage other staff members and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and in-house quality assurance processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant knowledge and experience of highway design and/or drainage systems across the project life cycle, including road geometry, junctions, active travel, drainage, road restraint, and sign/marking design.
  • •Experience leading single or multiple design disciplines across relevant projects (e.g., roads, public transport, active travel, public/private development).
  • •Experience preparing contract documents or administering contracts/site supervision using Public Works Contracts.
  • •Ability to use, direct, and check design outputs in relevant software including Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage and/or PDS.
  • •Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-professional qualification experience, with strong understanding of applicable design codes and CDM Designers’ Duties.
