Key Responsibilities

•Lead the delivery of high-quality flood modelling and hydrology projects, guiding the team under general supervision and ensuring alignment with clients’ needs and regulatory guidelines.
•Mentor junior staff and facilitate professional development within the team while building relationships with clients and other technical disciplines.
•Contribute to tenders and framework contracts, providing technical input and ensuring outputs meet programme and budget constraints.
•Develop and review hydraulic models using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, Mike, HEC-RAS, ICM and other industry-standard tools, and assess water quality modelling approaches.
•Collaborate with engineers and specialists to deliver a wide range of fluvial, coastal, surface water or drainage flood risk management projects across the UK and beyond

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline
•Obtained or near to obtaining professional qualification with CIWEM or similar
•Evidence of significant experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling software (e.g. Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller, or TUFLOW)
•Demonstrable knowledge of Environment Agency requirements in preparing flood models for Flood Risk Assessments
•Practical knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Anaconda, or Ruby would be advantageous
