Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake project management for mid- to large-size renewable energy projects focused on the construction phase.
  • •Liaise with clients, manage day-to-day delivery, and ensure work meets agreed requirements, timescales, and budgets; manage underperformance and resolve contract issues.
  • •Coordinate multi-disciplinary design and construction of renewable energy infrastructure and manage/administer NEC/FIDIC/JCT and bespoke contracts, including technology supply contracts.
  • •Maintain project budgets, programme, and overall performance in line with the contract; support governance from set-up to completion including reporting and invoicing.
  • •Support review of project deliverables, participate in proposal development, perform quality control reviews, and direct/mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng (Hons) degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental) or a diploma in Project Management.
  • •Background in project and construction with commercial awareness for construction-phase energy sector projects, including grid-connected complexities.
  • •Experience leading management of projects across design, procurement, and construction phases for one or more technologies such as onshore wind (ideally with recent onsite experience), Solar PV, or hydroelectric (run of river and pumped storage).
  • •Experience managing underperformance on contracts and resolving issues with clients to ensure delivery within agreed requirements, timescales, and budgets.
  • •Ability to support procurement and contract documentation, including preparation of Employer’s Requirements and use of NEC/FIDIC/JCT/bespoke technical contractual documentation.
