Job Summary

Lead engineering efforts on one-shot devices in the Energetics and Propulsion department. Deliver technical oversight of subcontractors and suppliers, manage program requirements and budgets, interface with customers, and drive technology roadmaps and failure analysis for propulsion systems in a DoD context.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply and/or develop advanced one-shot devices technologies and implement into products
•Provide technical oversight to subcontractors and manage suppliers to meet schedule and budget
•Interface with the customer to identify user needs and serve as the day-to-day liaison to programs
•Contribute to technology development roadmaps and support failure analysis with redesign of failed components or systems
•Prepare proposals requiring one-shot technologies, develop Critical Item Development Specifications (CIDS), and oversee contract negotiations

Key Requirements

•Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; 12+ years if no degree
•Experience in development of solid propulsion systems
•Ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in propulsive technology and its application to propulsion systems
•Willingness to travel, including internationally, to provide supplier support
•Experience with DoD customers and/or associated contractor executives and technical leadership
