Job Summary

Lead mechanical design work for air defense ground equipment, producing and documenting components, subassemblies, and major end items. Serve as the technical execution lead for cross-functional engineering efforts through proposal, initiation, and program phases, and act as the technical focal point. Key Responsibilities

•Perform mechanical engineering design, development, and documentation for components, subassemblies, and major end items.
•Oversee small to mid-sized cross-functional engineering teams as the technical execution lead across proposal generation and program initiation through execution.
•Serve as the technical focal point for mechanical or cross-functional teams.
•Support product integration with domestic and international factories and suppliers.
•Collaborate across engineering and suppliers to resolve technical challenges, including participating in design peer reviews and conducting trade studies.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
•Experience across concept development, detailed design, transition to production, and sustainment.
•Experience in mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
•Experience using CAD tools including ProE and CREO, including Large Assembly Management.
•Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
