Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead HSSE management support, leadership, and execution of activities to prevent harm and ensure compliance across plant employees and contractors.
  • •Conduct risk assessments and task reviews for key plant activities to identify and prevent likely HSSE hazards.
  • •Report HSSE metrics and indicators to HSSE Country and Regional Management; run HSSE meetings and prepare reports to prioritize and escalate issues for timely resolution.
  • •Manage emergency preparedness, emergency drill scenarios, and site emergency mock drills; ensure immediate incident reporting and lead investigations with corrective and preventive recommendations.
  • •Develop, implement, and maintain the plant HSSE management system, perform inspections and site visits, manage security/access controls for facilities, and supervise and train the team.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in Engineering and a Safety Degree.
  • •HSSE certification from a recognized institution (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, IEMA).
  • •Professional membership or association with an international HSSE institution (e.g., OSHA, IOSH, IEMA).
  • •3–5 years of HSSE experience in the Utilities/Energy sector.
  • •Thorough knowledge of local and international HSSE standards, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
