Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead presales solutioning for Azure Databricks opportunities, including architecture proposals, effort estimation, solution demos, and client workshops.
  • •Design end-to-end Azure Databricks solution architectures covering Lakehouse (Delta Lake), Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Workflows, and Azure ecosystem integrations.
  • •Define data platform strategy, target-state architecture, and migration roadmaps with client stakeholders.
  • •Provide delivery leadership when needed, including solution design, architecture governance, performance and cost optimization, and production readiness.
  • •Establish data architecture standards and security/governance models (Unity Catalog, lineage, access control) and implement CI/CD/DevOps practices for Azure Databricks delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •12–15 years in data engineering/architecture roles, with recent experience actively implementing Azure Databricks solutions.
  • •Hands-on architecture experience with Databricks Lakehouse/Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Workflows, and cluster/compute optimization.
  • •Strong modern data estate architecture across data lake and data warehouse patterns (e.g., medallion architecture, dimensional modeling, data mesh concepts where applicable).
  • •Proven experience leading data migration programs from legacy on-prem or cloud platforms to Azure Databricks.
  • •Strong SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, and hands-on Spark/PySpark expertise, plus data governance/security experience (Unity Catalog, lineage, access control).
