Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform standard laboratory support activities per the agreed scope of work and timelines, following procedures and documenting all activities.
  • •Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and execute equipment performance checks, including balances and pipettes, plus weighing/dispensing and glassware washing.
  • •Manage laboratory waste streams according to agreed processes, ensuring correct documentation and labeling to the waste service provider.
  • •Use the Avantor inventory management system to maintain chemical and consumables supply across multiple labs/buildings and operate Kardex systems to store and transport items (where applicable).
  • •Provide customer service to understand business requirements, adhere to Health and Safety regulations and promote safety, and identify process improvement opportunities while covering colleagues when required.

Key Requirements

  • •GCSE English and Math’s (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a scientific environment (training provided).
  • •Knowledge of health and safety expectations in the workplace.
  • •Understanding of customer service roles, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • •Experience working to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and an understanding of GMP in the pharma industry.
