Job Summary

Provide front-line customer service and assist with customers’ banking needs while meeting sales and service goals. Open, close, and maintain customer accounts, perform basic teller transactions as needed, and use bank systems and sales/customer service software to support referrals and cross-sell opportunities. Maintain operational accuracy and compliance with banking regulations, complete required annual training, and stay flexible to float across multiple branch locations within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

•Meet sales and service goals by profiling customers, building relationships, utilizing sales and customer service software, participating in sales campaigns, and following up by phone or email.
•Accurately open, close, and maintain customer accounts according to policies and procedures.
•Advise customers on Old Second products and services, including retail products such as IRAs and loans.
•Cross-train as a teller to handle basic transactions (check cashing, deposits, withdrawals) and balance the drawer.
•Maintain operational accuracy and compliance (e.g., TD Ops, BSA/Fraud/CTR’s, BAI, signature cards, CIP, beneficial ownership) and keep up with required annual training.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 18.1 - 22.5 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of related experience in banking, cash handling, customer service, sales, or similar.
•Become licensed with NMLS registration within 60 days of assuming the role and meet required bank training requirements.
•Ability to work onsite at multiple branch locations within the designated area as assigned by management.
•Maintain working knowledge of bank compliance and regulations and complete required annual training.
•Basic understanding of banking fundamentals such as check processing, and credits and debits.
