Job Summary

Serve as a technical resource for electrical and mechanical component, materials, and related process support across design, manufacturing, program management, supply chain, and quality. Lead failure and root-cause analysis, support documentation and release of components/processes/design guidelines, and resolve specification/drawing exceptions, supplier issues, and manufacturing problems. Recommend components and manufacturers using parametric, preference-code, and obsolescence prediction data, while providing design-engineering support and collaborating on cross-functional projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand preferred technologies, sources of supply, and acceptance criteria for multiple commodities.
•Apply documentation and release techniques for components, processes, and design guidelines according to department policies.
•Perform failure and root-cause analysis and provide corrective actions as needed.
•Provide technical assistance with material verification resolution, specification or drawing exceptions, supplier issues, and manufacturing-related issues.
•Identify, evaluate, and recommend components, materials, and/or manufacturers to meet new product requirements and improve manufacturing process yields.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires an engineering bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience; or, in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
•Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) with full professional proficiency to engage in meetings and communicate with distributed teams and U.S.-based management.
•Basic knowledge of electrical principles and electronic components.
•Background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
•Ability to read technical drawings and datasheets.
