Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the primary technical interface for the Chief Engineer, customers, suppliers, and internal domains for all on-board data handling (OBDH) subsystem topics.
  • •Perform trade-off studies and define the hardware architecture, including data rates, processor speeds, and electrical interfaces.
  • •Create and manage data-flow definitions between platform and payload (mass storage, cryptographic units) and the housekeeping functions, including related budgets.
  • •Specify DH equipment and support supplier co-engineering, including design-board creation and acceptance reviews.
  • •Develop test specifications, support system integration, and participate in launch and in-orbit testing activities on-site or remotely.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • •Solid experience in the architecture of data handling hardware subsystems.
  • •In-depth knowledge of common space standards such as ECSS and CCSDS.
  • •Long-term professional experience in data handling or complex embedded systems.
  • •Fluent English; German is an advantage.
