Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and own target architecture for the AI & Agentic Platform, including runtime, action gateway, control plane, knowledge foundation, model gateway/abstraction, evaluation, and observability.
  • •Set and evolve Azure and AWS cloud architecture for AI workloads, including hybrid model serving, inference cost management, data residency, and build-versus-buy positioning.
  • •Lead integration architecture between the AI Platform and the bank’s core estate, including core banking, risk/credit, treasury/finance, enterprise data platforms, enterprise APIs/ESB, and identity services.
  • •Establish and govern engineering/architectural standards for the platform, including reference patterns, agent/tool contracts, runtime governance hooks, and integration with model risk.
  • •Shape multi-year AI capability direction and represent the function across internal forums and with external regulators and partners on AI architecture and governance.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep, current architectural knowledge of agentic AI systems, including multi-agent coordination, orchestration frameworks, evaluation, observability, and runtime governance.
  • •Strong foundation model architecture and integration expertise, including managed model APIs, open-weight serving, model gateway design, RAG, fine-tuning, and cost-quality-latency trade-offs.
  • •Cloud architecture fluency on Azure and AWS at enterprise scale, covering networking, identity, data, model serving, inference cost management, and hybrid deployment patterns.
  • •Proven experience integrating AI and data platforms into the core estate of a regulated enterprise, including core banking/risk/credit, enterprise data platforms, APIs, ESB, and identity layers.
  • •12+ years in software/platform/AI engineering and architecture with principal/staff-level architectural ownership of large-scale AI/data/platform programs in production.
