Job Summary

Manage day-to-day supermarket operations to deliver exceptional service, maximize profitability, and drive sales growth. Lead commercial performance by analyzing sales, margins, and operational metrics while optimizing costs and reducing waste and shrinkage. Oversee inventory, merchandising, asset maintenance, and hygiene/health & safety compliance. Partner with merchandising and department heads to improve product availability and lead, coach, and develop the team to meet operational and people objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement supermarket strategies, policies, and operational plans aligned with MAF Retail objectives, working with Head Office and Corporate teams.
•Drive commercial performance by analyzing sales, profitability, and operational metrics to enhance revenue and optimize costs.
•Oversee merchandise and inventory management, including stock availability, pricing consistency, waste reduction, and shrinkage minimization.
•Maintain supermarket service functions including asset maintenance, hygiene, health & safety compliance, and adherence to customer service standards.
•Lead and develop the supermarket team by setting performance objectives, providing feedback and coaching, and coordinating training and manpower needs.

Key Requirements

•Achieve strong financial performance across turnover, net profit, margins, and transaction growth.
•Minimize waste and shrinkage through effective inventory control and strong product availability.
•Maintain high standards of merchandising and stock quality to ensure consistent product availability.
•Drive customer satisfaction and operational health index (OHI) results through service excellence.
•Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and security standards and lead human capital through coaching and retention.
