Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide study and project engineering support to determine feasibility of extracting reserves and design mine extraction processes and infrastructure.
  • •Prepare cost estimates for mine development across open cut, underground, and unconventional mining methods, including infrastructure.
  • •Manage and select ore extraction methods based on depth, overburden, deposit attitude, and surrounding strata characteristics.
  • •Plan and coordinate contractors and the utilization of labor and equipment for underground and surface infrastructure development.
  • •Assess technical, construction, financial, and safety risks and provide safety assessments and project monitoring/reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Professionally qualified in construction, project management, engineering, surveying, architecture, or information technology.
  • •Qualifications in Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • •Ability to prepare cost estimates for mine project development from exploration to commissioning.
  • •Ability to manage suitable ore extraction methods considering deposit characteristics and site conditions.
  • •Ability to conduct risk assessment across technical, construction, financial, and safety elements.
