Job Summary

Lead silicon debug strategy and execution for next-generation embedded SoCs in AMD’s Embedded Engineering Group. Own end-to-end triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex silicon, platform, and system-level issues across CPU, chipset, firmware, BIOS, and software. Partner with architecture, design, validation, and product engineering teams to drive rapid issue closure, establish scalable debug methodologies, and improve quality through metrics, dashboards, and targeted automation.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead post-silicon debug activities across CPU, chipset, platform, firmware, and system-level components.
•Drive end-to-end issue triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of silicon, BIOS, firmware, and platform defects.
•Develop and execute debug strategies for first-silicon bring-up, feature enablement, and validation readiness.
•Define scalable debug methodologies, workflows, and best practices; maintain debug dashboards and key performance metrics.
•Coordinate cross-functional debug execution globally, prioritize high-impact issues, communicate risks/status, and support customer escalations/field issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: INR 4,839,450 - 6,913,500 annually

Key Requirements

•15+ years of semiconductor industry experience with significant hands-on expertise in silicon, platform, firmware, or system debug.
•Strong understanding of x86 SoC architecture, embedded systems, platform design, and hardware/software interactions.
•Proven experience in post-silicon bring-up, failure analysis, issue triage, and root-cause debugging of complex semiconductor products.
•Demonstrated success leading technical teams and driving issue resolution across multiple cross-functional organizations.
•Expertise with industry-standard debug tools including JTAG, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and firmware tracing tools.
