Job Summary

Lead one or more software/data engineering teams building scalable data pipelines, platform services, and AI-enabled capabilities for Mastercard’s Business & Market Insights. Drive architecture, governance, and delivery of cross-team initiatives, partnering with Product to align roadmaps and ensure security, reliability, and scalable performance across analytics and ML workloads.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, coach, and develop one or more teams of software and data engineers to drive high performance and growth.
•Own the end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives spanning multiple systems or teams, coordinating with Product to define roadmaps and tradeoffs.
•Define and enforce execution frameworks (planning, estimation, tracking) for predictable delivery across platforms.
•Lead the development of scalable data platforms, pipelines, and AI-enabled systems for analytics and ML workloads.
•Drive architecture decisions and ensure alignment with Mastercard’s security, reliability, and governance standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
•Proven experience leading software engineering teams delivering data platforms, pipelines, or AI-enabled systems.
•Strong background in distributed systems and backend engineering (e.g., Java, Python, or similar).
•Deep experience with data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and large-scale data processing.
•Demonstrated ability to drive architecture decisions and influence system design across teams.
