Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction and heavy equipment, and customer assets. You’ll work Monday–Friday with possible on-call scheduling, perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, and handle both basic and complex wiring scenarios (including CAN network access). The role includes testing by operating machinery at times, traveling to client sites or nearby rental yards, and representing the EquipmentShare platform and brand while working in the field.

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics system devices on vehicles, construction/heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Test installations by operating machinery at times during installation.
•Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
•Handle installation scenarios from basic (power, ignition, ground) to complex custom wiring harness work for CAN network access.
•Troubleshoot issues by gathering/analyzing information, travel to client sites or rental yards, and work occasional weekends/outside business hours as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools; hard-working, eager to learn, and mechanically inclined.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer) and/or comfort with mobile electronics installation.
•Own tools; a few specialty tools will be provided.
•Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check; open to traveling within a 250 mile radius for up to a week at a time.
