Job Summary

Lead the development and management of a competitive suite of trade products for corporate and FI clients in Hong Kong, owning product strategy, innovation, development, commercialization, and compliance. Drive documentary and open account trade offerings, deliver country product P&L, optimize pricing and Net Interest Margins, and partner with technology, operations, risk, legal, and compliance to digitize processes and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive overall financial performance by launching products and initiatives to grow volumes and trade assets, optimizing fee pricing and Net Interest Margins, and identifying opportunities to digitise and lower costs.
•Understand the market by scanning regulatory developments, trends, client needs, competitor offerings, and gathering input through sales feedback, client interaction, industry bodies, compliance/regulator discussions, and client surveys.
•Develop product strategy and roadmaps, including product proposition, target segments, addressable market sizing, competitor assessment, and commercialization strategy; prioritise and advance innovation pipelines.
•Support product development by working with central product teams and local operations/technology as the Subject Matter Expert, defining scopes via business requirements, providing real-time testing feedback, and contributing to test cases and operating procedures.
•Commercialise and govern offerings by executing go-to-market plans, training sales/coverage teams, tracking calling targets and pipeline, managing underperformance, establishing partnerships/new channels, and ensuring compliance via country addenda updates and stakeholder engagement.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 12–15 years product management experience in documentary and open account trade in the Indian market.
•Deep understanding of international trade products and practices, especially trade between India, South Asia and other regions.
•Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in India and UCP600 rules.
•Ability to advise on technical aspects and support solutioning of complex structured trade products.
•Track record developing, implementing, and commercialising multiple trade products, including experience with agile product and technology development approaches.
