Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the on-site liaison with contractors, clients, and approving authorities while addressing resident concerns as they arise.
  • •Coordinate with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to help ensure construction activities comply with project specifications.
  • •Prepare and maintain daily work logs, project documentation, and reporting, and schedule regular project meetings with contractors and clients.
  • •Monitor compliance with quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements through inspection duties; provide clarification of drawings and directions to contractors.
  • •Conduct surveys and measurements for quantity calculations, complete surveys for record drawings, and support punch lists, testing, and commissioning (including final acceptance certificate preparation).

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of relevant experience in a field role on municipal infrastructure projects (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
  • •Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • •1-2 years of surveying experience.
  • •Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD; Civil 3D is an asset.
