Job Summary

Prepare and manage APAC indirect tax returns, starting with Singapore, Australia, and other key APAC territories, and support global filings as needed. Over time, take ownership of the APAC indirect tax reporting process, including controls, risk and judgement schedules, and coordination with external advisors. Partner with accounting and controllers to ensure indirect tax impacts are reflected in financial statements, and lead process improvements and technical research.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare indirect tax returns for Singapore, Australia, and other key APAC territories, and support global indirect tax return preparation as needed.
•Eventually take ownership of the APAC indirect tax reporting process, including controls, risk and judgement schedules, and end-to-end coordination with external advisors.
•Support the indirect tax team by conducting technical research, leading technical projects, and identifying process improvements.
•Ensure indirect tax impacts are understood and reflected in the business’s financial statements by building relationships with accounting and financial controllers.
•Collaborate with the indirect tax and regional tax teams to support broader indirect tax consulting opportunities where applicable.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: SGD 6,000 - 7,500 monthly

Key Requirements

•At least 3 years of indirect tax experience with either Big 4 or in-house, with a solid understanding of APAC VAT/GST and cross-border principles.
•Experience supporting the design of processes and controls to manage compliance obligations and risks involving large volumes of complex data.
•Ability to organize your own time and work independently while also influencing stakeholders on indirect tax matters.
•Ownership mindset for solving complex new areas with limited guidance using sound judgement.
•An accounting or tax qualification relevant to the APAC market.
