Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with leading and coordinating regional safety process efforts in commercial sales/service offices under the Regional EHS Leader.
  • •Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and jobsite visits with technicians at customer sites (service and contracting).
  • •Ensure safety, occupational health, and environmental records are maintained accurately and comply with OSHA/DOT and other applicable regulations and Trane procedures.
  • •Implement and ensure compliance with Trane safety policies and procedures; coordinate safety effort for continual improvement using safety data and Lean processes.
  • •Conduct and/or support safety training (annual and new-hire), manage safety databases and action tracking, and participate in injury/near-miss incident investigations with corrective action follow-through.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, or Safety Sciences/Engineering (or related) preferred.
  • •One or more safety-related professional certifications desired (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHSM).
  • •3+ years of practical environmental health and safety management experience at a medium-large site preferred.
  • •Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MSHA, DOT, and Canada Health & Safety Board as regionally appropriate.
  • •Excellent time management and computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and EHS data management systems (e.g., Gensuite).
