Key Responsibilities

  • •Review relevant national policies, regulations, and technical guidance on school health, disease prevention, essential medicines, and treatment guidance.
  • •Assess and analyze the functions and basic service scope of school health units, including personnel competencies, health situations, and referral arrangements.
  • •Evaluate the availability, adequacy, use, and safe management of medicines and equipment in educational institutions, including procurement, storage, expiry management, maintenance/calibration, training, protocols, and documentation.
  • •Develop a draft minimum package of school health equipment and essential medicines for different educational institution types, including a setting-specific medicines list and requirements for safe and appropriate use.
  • •Present findings at technical consultations/workshops, facilitate stakeholder discussions, incorporate comments, and finalize the recommended package and supporting technical document.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 125 daily

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in medicine, public health, health system or related field; master’s degree desirable.
  • •Minimum 5 years of professional experience in school health, child health, public health, or health systems.
  • •Demonstrated experience conducting technical assessments and developing policies.
  • •Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), and other stakeholders.
  • •Excellent report-writing skills in Vietnamese and good working knowledge of English.
