Job Summary

Support the Shift Supervisor by leading shift personnel, ensuring health & safety, production quality checks, and accurate reporting of downtime, rejects, and pre-production audits. Conduct routine audits (PPE, 6S tours, machine safety sheets), coordinate labour and shift handovers, and provide technical support and fault-finding guidance to maintain specifications and KPI targets. Maintain GDPR confidentiality and comply with BRC requirements during internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as Line Manager for personnel on the shift in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
•Attend daily production meetings and participate in supervisor meetings as required.
•Ensure production record sheets, pre-production checks, PPQC/QC checks, and quality/specification standards are completed and audited throughout the shift.
•Report machine stoppages appropriately, assist with fault finding, and take corrective/remedial action when components are not to specification.
•Maintain safe and clean department operations, conduct 6S tours and PPE audits, coordinate labour and shift handovers, and support internal/external audits with required paperwork and GDPR-compliant confidentiality.

Key Requirements

•Technically proficient in machine setting.
•Methodical approach to fault finding.
•Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally at all levels.
•Competent user of Microsoft Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).
•Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve agreed goals and work under pressure.
