Job Summary

Assist routine engineering and design activities within the Engineering & Technology Centre to support diverse product lines and global engineering teams. Complete up to 6 months of basic training and pilot projects, then deliver component, assembly, or system-level design work including 3D/2D CAD, PLM releases, technical documentation, design calculations, DFMEA/root-cause analysis, and prototype validation for industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

•Complete up to 6 months of training and pilot projects in design and development, CAD conversions, lab assignments, and manufacturing prints/bill of materials.
•Design industrial equipment such as air compressors, power tools, and fluid pumps.
•Create and release 3D parts/assemblies, produce 2D drawings, and prepare technical documentation in line with Ingersoll Rand standards.
•Perform component/assembly/system-level design tasks, participate in reviews, and apply design calculations.
•Use methods such as DFMEA and root cause analysis, develop design review/gate documentation, apply design for manufacturing/assembly, and support prototype validation.

•Knowledge of engineering calculations and engineering drawing.
•Proficiency using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) for productivity and problem-solving.
