Job Summary

Plan, launch, execute, and close engineering work packages, ensuring deliverables are delivered on time and within budget. Develop and baseline work package schedules, estimates, risk/opportunity registers, and cost/resource structures, then monitor progress with reporting to customers and internal stakeholders. Lead teams and suppliers, manage change requests and contract variations, and ensure delivered products, services, and documentation meet scope and quality commitments.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop work package descriptions, including deliverables, milestones, interdependencies, schedule/estimates, resources, and risk/opportunity register baseline.
•Establish work package launch plans aligned with the project master schedule, defining cost structure, resource profiles, supplier selection, and monitoring metrics.
•Execute the work package to achieve objectives, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery and addressing issues, risks, and opportunities.
•Monitor, control, and report progress by consolidating deliverables, updating schedule/risk registers/ETC/EAC, leading progress meetings, and reporting status to stakeholders.
•Lead stakeholder relations, manage suppliers/subcontractors, oversee change management (impact assessment and contract variations), and perform lessons-learned capture and closure review.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
•Project Management qualification and/or certification (PMBOK preferred).
•Previous experience delivering software-centric mission-critical or high-availability IT systems in a safety-critical environment.
•Understanding of Earned Value Management and Work Package Control/reporting, with exposure to scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera).
•Financial/budgetary management of engineering work packages or tasks, plus advanced reporting and stakeholder management skills.
