Job Summary

Lead a controls engineer team responsible for building deployment onboarding, day-to-day task management, and continuous improvement of deployment efficiency. Own performance metrics and handle escalated client situations, while coordinating daily handovers with delivery teams. Coach and train team members and provide HVAC controls training to customers. Collaborate cross-functionally to support AI-enabled HVAC control algorithm testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the controls engineer team for building deployment and manage day-to-day tasks.
•Ensure team performance with established procedures and improve deployment efficiency and performance metrics.
•Manage escalated client situations and internal deployment issues; provide technical support and feedback to development teams.
•Coach and evaluate team members; manage scheduling and daily handovers across delivery teams.
•Troubleshoot, test, and commission BMS & HVAC control systems and devices, including evaluating AI control algorithms and contributing to HVAC control sequences.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 86,300 - 123,024.99

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in building or mechanical engineering (or technical degree in a related field).
•3–5+ years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, and building performance optimization, including commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
•Prior leadership or team lead experience in controls engineering, building automation, or AI-enabled building technologies.
•Hands-on programming and troubleshooting experience with DDC, PLC, and BAS control platforms (e.g., JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Delta, Niagara, Schneider/TAC).
•Experience diagnosing building controls communications using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks, and implementing process improvements with automation/AI-driven tools.
