Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with the Head of Legal to ensure compliance with laws and regulations in France and other countries as Joko expands
  • •Prevent litigation by taking proactive actions and collaborating with the Head of Legal when litigation arises
  • •Draft and review contracts for employees, freelancers, merchant partners, suppliers, terms and conditions, etc.
  • •Advance GDPR compliance by design and improve processes (data treatment register, privacy policy, IT security routines) in coordination with DPO and Product team
  • •Oversee corporate law events (BSPCE allocations/exercises, shareholder assemblies, board meetings, cap table management)

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in law from a Tier 1 university (private law specialization); bar admission a plus
  • •At least 2 years of experience as a lawyer (5 years preferred), including experience in a top law firm
  • •Experience negotiating contracts, GDPR/personal data management, or corporate law; ability to prevent and handle litigation
  • •Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
  • •Strong project management, analytical, writing, and attention to detail skills
