Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement work methods and promote a strong safety, performance, and teamwork culture.
  • •Ensure quality repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, thickeners, hydraulic systems, and piping.
  • •Supervise and coordinate mechanics work by planning and distributing daily preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • •Supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance; review completed work orders and provide constructive feedback to improve reliability.
  • •Support safe execution of shutdowns and general overhauls, diagnose mechanical breakdowns, maintain maintenance reports/technical records, and coach new team members while continuously improving maintenance methods and tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Have a diploma in industrial mechanics/maintenance mechanics or a related field and 5–7 years of mechanical experience, ideally including experience supervising an equipment or crew leader role.
  • •Strong understanding of HSE requirements including isolation/LOTO, confined spaces, working at height, and work-permit systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of preventive/corrective/predictive mechanical maintenance and the ability to manage a maintenance team and solve problems quickly and accurately.
  • •Ability to master industrial mechanics and read plans, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • •Good communication skills, preferably bilingual French/English; additional certifications in mining operations, bulk material handling, or port/rail operations are an advantage.
