Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance tasks for the Setter and Hatcher PM and calibration program.
  • •Handle electrical maintenance including motor changes, wiring/fixtures, and diagnosing with voltmeter/ammeter.
  • •Repair and troubleshoot HVAC units and evap coolers.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair motherboard and PLC control systems on equipment.
  • •Repair/replace hatchery equipment (e.g., offal-related equipment, chiller temperature/pressure issues, and highspeed/dock/chase door troubleshooting) while following safety policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Complete and maintain annual certification requirements for wearing a full face respirator (PFT and RFT).
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting/repairs across hatchery infrastructure and equipment.
  • •Have at least 12 months consecutive work experience with one employer over the past three years with no employment gaps over six months (exceptions noted).
  • •Follow biosecurity and animal welfare requirements (showering/changing clothing and footwear; no jewelry except medical ID; agree to avoid avian species).
  • •Be able to meet physical demands (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 500 lbs.) and work in wet/dusty/hot/cold environments.
