Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the platform registration end to end with the Securities Commission, including submission, conditional approval, and launch.
  • •Act as the Securities Commission’s named Responsible Person, including signing system and operational readiness declarations.
  • •Build the operating company across technology, security, compliance, and operations.
  • •Own partner relationships with licensed intermediaries and fund managers, including written allocation of AML monitoring responsibility.
  • •Own P&L and operating performance, run the platform with fair and transparent fees and rulebook, and keep the board properly informed.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years building or running a regulated financial services or fintech business, with relevant experience building or running regulated environments.
  • •At least 5 years in financial services, capital markets, or regulated financial technology, including 3+ years at senior management level with functional or P&L ownership.
  • •At least 3 years of direct exposure to capital market intermediation, distribution, or market operation.
  • •Prior direct dealings with a financial regulator in a named or accountable capacity.
  • •A degree or professional qualification recognized by the government of Malaysia and ability to meet the SC’s fit-and-proper criteria.
