Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and continuously improve production testing fixtures, jigs, mechanical enclosures, and assembly tooling across product lines and CM sites.
  • •Own maintenance and calibration governance: author process documentation, lead quarterly maintenance audits, and drive calibration frequency reduction.
  • •Analyze test equipment limits (e.g., mating cycles, cable wear) and recommend limit extensions based on engineering data and risk assessment.
  • •Support NPI mechanical readiness through V&V station approval to large-scale manufacturing, including station duplication and CM technician training.
  • •Coordinate with contract manufacturers on mechanical gaps and production blockers; conduct mechanical-focused quality audits and manage ECOs with documentation/version control.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •5+ years as a mechanical engineer in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • •Hands-on fixture and jig design experience for electronics manufacturing or test.
  • •Ability to read, interpret, and review mechanical and assembly drawings.
  • •Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Creo Parametric or SolidWorks.
