Job Summary

Program and operate CNC and manual machines to produce machined metal parts. Read blueprints, work orders, and GD&T requirements, perform setups and adjustments, and make measurements to select the right machines. Assemble, repair, and fabricate parts into sub-units or complete units, conduct inspections, and check SPC charts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Work onsite on a third shift and may support extended shifts or overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating CNC or manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, and other specialized equipment).
•Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, and GD&T to meet operation, material, and dimensional requirements.
•Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using mechanical equipment.
•Perform machining setups and adjustments, take measurements, select appropriate machines, and conduct inspections of completed work.
•Check SPC charts, keep records, maintain quality/safety standards, and support extended shifts or overtime as required.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
•Certification in the core discipline with 4–5 months of employment.
•Certification on multiple programs labeled as moderate to difficult in degree of complexity.
•6 years of experience operating CNC machining centers.
•Ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and cells to resolve issues quickly.
