Job Summary

Measure, analyze, and debug power and performance for OEM in-chassis notebook systems at the silicon/SoC and platform levels across Intel and competitor setups. Set up instrumented systems, calibrate and take rail-by-rail measurements, and use benchmark analysis to tune future platforms. Partner with Intel engineering teams to close gaps between Intel data and OEM implementations, support competitive analysis, and influence product launch positioning.

Key Responsibilities

•Measure, analyze, and debug workloads on OEM notebook/laptop systems for internal analysis and external communications.
•Measure and analyze SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail-by-rail basis, debugging any issues or gaps.
•Set up instrumented OEM systems to measure power and performance, including setup, calibration, and measurements.
•Collaborate with internal engineering teams to understand gaps between Intel silicon/SoC data and OEM implementations.
•Align on competitive power/performance analysis, support competitive projections, and guide internal stakeholders on Intel product positioning.

Salary: USD 122,440 - 172,860 annually

Key Requirements

•BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
•Understanding of power measurement/instrumentation methodologies and concepts.
•1 year of basic soldering experience.
•Experience instrumenting and measuring actual devices/systems (e.g., phones, tablets, or laptops).
•Knowledge of CPU micro-architecture (x86 or ARM) and ability to analyze power/performance using standard benchmarks.
