Job Summary

Lead the development of C&I designs for low-carbon energy projects, working as part of a large engineering group. You’ll guide electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering deliverables across studies and detailed design, including FEED, value engineering, specifications, diagrams, and equipment package design reviews. The role supports clients throughout the project lifecycle and includes technical leadership, governance, and contributions to multi-disciplinary proposals and bids.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop cost-effective, efficient, and innovative solutions to complex problems to create practical designs.
•Deliver C&I work across project stages, including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering, and Detailed Design.
•Prepare and develop C&I deliverables such as design basis philosophies, system specifications, architecture diagrams, datasheets, instrument schedules, instrument index, block diagrams, control room layouts, cable schedules, cable block diagrams, and MTOs.
•Work with equipment vendors to develop equipment package designs and participate in technical evaluations of vendor designs.
•Develop EC&I proposals and bids, contribute to multi-disciplinary proposals, and provide technical leadership and governance.

Key Requirements

•Degree in a relevant engineering subject with post graduate experience in C&I design.
•Chartered Engineer (or working towards IEng/CEng) and a member of a relevant Engineering Institute.
•Ability and desire to assume a lead role in the development of C&I deliverables.
•Knowledge of design and construction of power and energy projects.
•Proven understanding of the design process, including experience producing calculations and working with brief/scope documents, design concepts, and client/contractor stakeholders.
