Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data for substation components, equipment specifications, and design/review processes using relevant standards and regulations.
  • •Perform electrical engineering design work for single-line/three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layout, grounding grids, and lightning protection in conformance with applicable rules and permits.
  • •Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, and power distribution.
  • •Prepare reports, documentation, sketches, calculations, and visualizations to support interpretation and presentation of analyses and findings.
  • •Support site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project work conforms with specifications and compliance documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering or prior electrical design experience.
  • •Engineer in Training Certification.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to permitting and project work-related issues.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
