Job Summary

Support electrical engineering design and due diligence for utility, industrial, and commercial projects for the Property & Buildings team. Work on transmission and distribution substations, power distribution/regulation, renewable energy, and protection & control systems. Conduct engineering calculations, prepare wiring diagrams and layouts, review third-party documents, and create technical reports and documentation while ensuring quality, safety plans, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze data for substation components, equipment specifications, and design/review processes using relevant standards and regulations.
•Perform electrical engineering design work for single-line/three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layout, grounding grids, and lightning protection in conformance with applicable rules and permits.
•Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, and power distribution.
•Prepare reports, documentation, sketches, calculations, and visualizations to support interpretation and presentation of analyses and findings.
•Support site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project work conforms with specifications and compliance documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
•3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering or prior electrical design experience.
•Engineer in Training Certification.
•Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to permitting and project work-related issues.
•Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
