Job Summary

Lead a residential solar installation crew to complete projects safely and efficiently. Review inventory and prepare equipment, lay out and assemble solar modules and racking, apply weather sealing, and ensure installations match project plans. Maintain a clean job site, participate in training, and provide technical leadership to fellow installers, including assisting with solar battery installations when needed. May serve as acting foreperson in the forepersons’ absence.

Key Responsibilities

•Review inventory at the loading dock and ensure assigned crew truck is adequately stocked.
•Layout and assemble solar modules, mechanical and structural mounts, electrical equipment, and tools for installation.
•Assemble racking, solar modules, panels, and support structures per the project plan.
•Apply weather sealing to roofing structures, buildings, or support mechanisms.
•Lead crew through safe, effective installations and provide leadership and technical support to fellow crew members; assist with solar battery installations when assigned.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 26.4 - 35.21 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Previous solar installation experience required (equivalent construction or military experience may be considered).
•Must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record to pass a driving background check.
•Adhere to company safety policies and be able to identify and report safety hazards while encouraging others to work safely.
•Ability to lead crew installations, meet deadlines and key metrics, and troubleshoot problems effectively.
