Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with the client’s quality program and project-specific drawings/specifications through routine inspections and commissioning activities.
  • •Use electronic field tools (e.g., iPad with ACC BUILD) to communicate, track inspection results, and document deficiencies throughout construction and early commissioning.
  • •Coordinate with manufacturers, construction managers, general contractors, and subcontractors as the owner’s representative to schedule and perform required inspections.
  • •Read project schedules to determine needed inspections based on project/client specifications and proactively schedule inspections using short-term look-ahead plans.
  • •Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports and track inspection issues through resolution, including investigating root causes and recommending process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7+ years of construction and/or quality assurance experience, including 2+ years on complex, mission-critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, or large-scale construction).
  • •Experience with large-scale electrical and mechanical installations plus testing and/or commissioning of similar systems.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulations, industry codes, standards, and common mechanical/electrical/plumbing materials and methods.
  • •Experience performing Level 2 commissioning inspections for set-in-place installations and pre-energization activities.
  • •Technical training via college, trade school, or military; must be able to work in an active construction environment (including walking uneven sites and climbing ladders).
