Job Summary

Own the end-to-end operations of a largely on-prem, legacy application portfolio, including run, maintain, improve, and decommission activities. Continuously monitor health and integration points using AI-assisted anomaly detection, automate remediation, and support incidents, problems, and change/release through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Handle DR/continuity, SLO-driven performance improvements, security patching and access governance, and participate in an on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

•Own assigned applications end to end across their lifecycle (run, maintain, improve, decommission) for an on-prem legacy portfolio.
•Monitor application health, batch jobs, and integration points using AI-assisted anomaly detection (Dynatrace Davis) and automate routine remediation.
•Execute configuration changes and run deployments through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
•Manage availability and continuity by executing failover/DR procedures and validating backups against RTO/RPO targets.
•Support incident and problem management, maintain runbooks/knowledge articles, and perform security remediation and access governance across the on-prem stack.

Key Requirements

•Relevant work experience in system engineering and application operations (e.g., network, server, security, databases).
•Strong Linux administration and experience operating IBM WebSphere and nginx in production.
•Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
•Experience operating Kubernetes at operator/workload level on EKS and AKS, with AWS and Azure network architecture knowledge.
•Observability experience with Dynatrace and OpenSearch (metrics, logs, traces) and a track record of defining and meeting SLOs.
