Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct quarterly premium and loss reserve analyses and make recommendations for quarterly financial results, including IFRS 17 discount and risk adjustment components.
  • •Prepare materials for the quarterly reserve governance committee.
  • •Ensure loss reserves and IFRS 17 components are appropriately reflected in the financial close.
  • •Perform loss ratio planning and forecasting, including IFRS 17 elements.
  • •Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Pricing to develop insights, align on forward-looking loss ratios, and communicate reserve recommendations with management.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,900 - 142,700 annually

Key Requirements

  • •For Actuarial Analyst: Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an associate degree) plus 2+ years technical/insurance experience, or a bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 GPA and no prior actuarial experience, plus successful completion of one or more actuarial exams.
  • •For Senior Actuarial Analyst: Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an associate degree), or a bachelor’s degree plus 5+ actuarial exams with 2+ years actuarial experience (or 3+ exams with 3+ years actuarial experience).
  • •Successful completion of applicable actuarial exams toward FCAS (or equivalent international certification) is required based on the level.
  • •Ability to analyze data and provide insight to non-technical professionals.
  • •Experience and/or success with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
