Supervise well site monitoring work under broad direction, applying advanced geological interpretation to log and analyze drilling data. Gather and interpret mud logging information (depth, gas units/composition, rate of penetration, lag time, pressure data), produce zone-of-interest/show reports, and communicate results via morning reports and notifications. Provide lithological descriptions, assemble mud logs into drilling databases, and ensure safe rig-up/tear-down and smooth crew/shift transitions.

•Independently apply advanced geological interpretation techniques and make decisions on geological and fundamental engineering problems.
•Execute Field Prof-SDL-Geo responsibilities while supervising subordinates and setting performance standards for the crew.
•Gather and interpret logging information (depth, gas units/composition, rate of penetration, lag time, pressure data) to identify oil and/or gas shows.
•Analyze and document zone-of-interest and/or show reports; provide lithological descriptions for formations drilled.
•Assemble mud logs and drilling database entries, communicate required mud logging information to customers, and perform safe rig-up and tear-down.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in Geology and at least 4 years of relevant field experience (average 5–7 years), with on-the-job development to full competence.
•Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards.
•Good communication skills, including arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
