Job Summary

Own the Safety Program “Communication Tiering Mechanism” for TikTok Privacy & Responsibility: set proactive trust baselines, align messaging for major safety launches, and produce canonical deep-dive narratives. Translate complex product safety and moderation logic into human-centric narratives for PR/GR/Legal and external audiences. Serve as the strategic single point of contact in high-stakes moments and coach PMs so safety decisions ship with their story already articulated.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and run the Communication Tiering Mechanism, including proactive trust baselines, major launch alignment, and thematic deep-dive references.
•Shift the team from reactive fact-collecting to proactive proposition-setting and define the narrative point of view on safety philosophy.
•Translate complex product mechanics into human-centric, press, and policy audiences while maintaining a living safety design philosophy.
•Act as the single strategic product-side point of contact for PR/GR/Legal communications and crisis response.
•Coach PMs on narrative construction and stakeholder communication to enable products to ship with their story already articulated.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 93,600 - 220,400 annually

Key Requirements

•Proven experience in Trust & Safety, Policy Communications, Public Affairs, or Product Marketing within a social media platform.
•Demonstrated ability to translate technical product logic into persuasive, human-centric narratives (writing samples required).
•Depth in at least one safety & compliance vertical (e.g., Minor Safety, Content Integrity, AI Safety) and working fluency with major global safety regulatory regimes (e.g., UK OSA/Ofcom, EU DSA, US state-level).
•Fluency in written and spoken Chinese to manage stakeholders in the China market.
•Proven track record driving cross-functional initiatives across Product, Comms, GR, and Legal without direct authority.
