Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, analyze, and simulate optical building blocks (e.g., modulators, photodiodes, filters, waveguides, couplers, and polarization management) in integrated platforms such as silicon photonics and InGaAs/InP.
  • •Derive specifications for photonics IC systems and circuits.
  • •Design and model package optical interfaces, including edge couplers and grating couplers.
  • •Work with system architects and cross-disciplinary teams to partition functions between hardware and software domains.
  • •Evaluate and characterize electrical and optical building blocks, support test lab equipment development, and collaborate on production testing and qualification with manufacturing engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • •2+ years of experience in photonics or electro-optical integrated circuit design.
  • •Experience using electrical simulation tools such as Spectre and ADS.
  • •Knowledge of advanced packaging for co-package optics (CPO) solutions.
  • •Experience designing/performing analysis and simulation of linear/non-linear circuits such as high-bandwidth modulator drivers, TIAs, CTLEs, filters, and amplifiers.
