Job Summary

Provide regional leadership for technology risk, control, and governance in Mumbai, partnering with the India CIO and global technology leadership. Own the technology risk and governance interface, ensuring transparency of risk and control status, timely remediation, and sustainable compliance with India regulatory expectations. Lead the technology risk framework, embed risk controls across the SDLC with secure-by-design and DevSecOps, oversee critical risk themes (including cyber security and third-party risk), and assure service resilience and delivery governance.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, coach, and develop the Technology Risk & Governance team in Mumbai, setting objectives, operating rhythms, and measurable outcomes.
•Partner with the India CIO and global technology leadership to advise stakeholders on risk posture, compliance readiness, and safe growth.
•Serve as a senior point of contact for India technology regulatory matters and translate regulatory requirements into actionable technology controls and delivery guardrails.
•Lead the regional technology risk framework implementation, including consistent identification, assessment, treatment, and reporting of technology and cyber risks.
•Assure service resilience and operational risk controls, including SLA adherence, incident recovery, major incident oversight, and evidenced audit trails for regulatory review.

Key Requirements

•Deep understanding of India’s technology regulatory landscape and strong cyber security domain knowledge.
•Experience implementing and operating technology risk frameworks across complex, multi-team environments (global and local).
•Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.
•Ability to balance risk, compliance, and delivery outcomes while enabling growth and protecting customers and the bank.
•Solid technical grounding in SDLC, API ecosystems, and modern engineering practices, with awareness of AI and quantum-related security considerations.
